Dropped in for a morning coffee and cake as the cake display was so enticing. Lovely clean cafe with a good coffee range selection and yummy cakes. A bit out of the way for foot traffic, but worth the detour.

I stumbled across this pastry shop/café by chance (it is just a few steps outside of the historical center) and it is by far the best pasticceria in Udine. The pastries are creative, decadent, and simply divine! I truly can’t recommend it more highly
The shop look very nice and comfortable to site there. Staff are friendly and welcoming. It's nice if you are in the center and looking for nice bar.

La migliore pasticceria artigianale di Udine e dintorni. Premetto che per fare colazione 2 volte alla settimana presso D&G faccio circa 60km all’andata e al ritorno.
I croissant sono letteralmente i MIGLIORI sia a livello di impasto (Burro Corman di altissima qualità con anche varietà Noisette) sia di ripieno (Confettura di alta qualità, Creme cioccolato belga).
I mignon sono sempre freschi e vari ed accompagnati da biscotteria al burro e da mono-porzioni (Sacher, Tiramisù, Tartellete, pate sucree alla frutta, Eclair).
Il caffè è ottimo ed il personale è disponibile a soddisfare le particolari esigenze del cliente.
Recentemente ho acquistato anche dei prodotti salati: la pizza è a lunga lievitazione e molto farcita; consiglio di provarla...

The best artisanal pastry shop in Udine and the surrounding area. I should start by saying that I travel about 60 km each way to have breakfast twice a week at D&G. The croissants are literally the BEST, both in terms of dough (high-quality Corman butter, including Noisette varieties) and filling (high-quality jam, Belgian chocolate cream). The mini croissants are always fresh and varied, and are accompanied by butter biscuits and individual portions (Sachertorte, Tiramisu, Tartellette, fruit pâté sucree, Eclairs). The coffee is excellent, and the staff is always available to meet customers' specific needs. I recently purchased some savory items as well: the pizza is slow-rising and has a wide variety of toppings; I recommend trying it... The place is neat and clean, and the service is quick. Prices are excellent considering the quality of the products and the location.
